■ Making Of
Last two years I was really busy working in my fulltime job and freelancing from home. I did many models and renders, but except the clients, nobody seen them. I needed something new, something personal. In spring 2006 I got this nice job in Milan as environment artist on movie. I had some time left in evening and weekends so i decided to my demo reel. I had no big plan on the start, just to do presentation video, couple of interesting scenes, 4 or 5 maybe, putted together to present my work as 3D generalist, that I always was and want to be. Recently I saw only very little nice demo reels. I really don’t like the Vancouver/Toronto/whatever style of demo reels, that have 10-15 seconds of work, then 1 minute of breakdowns and 2 minutes of thank you, to all supervisors, mentors and others…I wanted to make my reel interesting from both idea and visual impact.
Here you can find some screenshots from Max, models I’ve created, scene setups, Digital Fusion flows and comments from my demo reel production.
